The New School of Fashion – The after show

Last night at the Madame Walker Theater Center we met up with a few of our favorite people in the industry and witnessed a lot of talent from amazing emerging designers!

Great people, great looks!!

Here’s a quick break down of designers, design inspiration and pictures:

Kelsi Brown- Art Institute of Indianapolis

Inspired by “whimsical illusion” A woman’s free spirit world of fantasy that can be worn in reality.

Linda Xiong- Indiana University

Inspired by a mix of 50′s and 60′s silhouettes

Taryn Kintanar- Purdue University

Inspired by a connection with the earth, she wants women to feel unique.

Anastasia Briggs- Indiana University

Inspired by “Back to the Future” movie, vivid colors and visions of the future.

Inspired by necklines, old movies, and ‘tired of seeing her friends struggle with strapless dresses’

Enjoys designing outerwear and children’s wear. Collection designed with lots of embroidery with a dark edge.

Misty Dodson- Art Institute of Indianapolis

Wants to empower women while feeling sexy, blends sophistication with edginess.

DayLin McDaniel- Art Institute of Indianapolis

Collection inspired by LOVE, the dark and light colors represent the feminine and masculine sides of love.
